One World Radio, Tomorrowland’s official radio station, is celebrating its 5th anniversary this Sunday, February 18! From Wednesday, February 14 to Sunday, February 18, listeners can tune in to One World Radio for one legendary party with the best music all day and night to celebrate the radio station’s 5th birthday.
Looking back at 5 Years of One World Radio, there are hundreds of memories worth revisiting. However, here are 5 key moments that were captured on video, worth reliving:
On February 18, 2019, as part of the launch of One World Radio, Tomorrowland invited Steve Aoki to perform a 15-minute set at the festival grounds in Boom, Belgium. The event took place on a sunny day with the iconic Zephyr, Tomorrowland's hot air balloon, providing a picturesque backdrop. Relive his set below!
Every year, One World Radio brings you the Tomorrowland Top 1000, an overview of the most iconic tracks in the history of Tomorrowland - voted by you, the People of Tomorrow. In 2020, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano mixed the final 50 tracks into one big show, under the watchful eye of Adam K. The number one that year? The one and only Avicii with "Levels."
In 2021, Mim from NERVO had the chance to have a chat with Klas Bergling - the father of the late Avicii – to thank the People of Tomorrow for voting his son’s career-making signature song ‘Levels’ for the second year in a row as the ultimate number one in the Tomorrowland Top 1000.
In 2022, a new One World Radio studio graced the festival grounds for the very first time. Since then, People of Tomorrow can enter the studio to watch their favorite artists being interviewed live on air. Forever united through music. In 2019 and 2020, and even still after that, the world faced exceptional times during the COVID-19 pandemic. Obviously, One World Radio can't be missed at the yearly gathering in the snow at Tomorrowland Winter. In 2022, One World Radio created something extra special in the Alps for the first time: The Cable Cast. AdamK talked about success, new albums, and mental health with Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano in the 7 minutes it took the ski lift to get them up the mountain.
In 2023, Laidback Luke hosted a new Cable Cast with artists such as ANNA, Kölsch, Amber Broos, and others - which are also available on-demand on YouTube.
