Tomorrowland Winter

A chat with MANDY: Hard dance, high energy and snowy peaks

From fan to festival headliner, MANDY discusses her journey, upcoming collaborations, and the magic of dancing in the snow.

Constantly evolving to connect with her audience, Mandy’s signature sound blends infectious, rave-influenced hard dance with an electrifying, crowd-energising performance.

Reflecting on her career so far, several moments stand out, including her remixes of Tiësto & Post Malone’s ‘Jackie Chan’ and ‘Instagram’ by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ft. David Guetta & Daddy Yankee.

Clearly, Mandy’s open-minded approach to music production makes her the perfect fit for the festival you’re about to experience. So what is her own take on it?

Mandy, you made your Mainstage debut last summer at Tomorrowland Belgium. Please tell us how it went and what it felt like?

“It was a dream come true! The energy, the crowd, and the entire experience were unforgettable. I’d been dreaming of this moment for so long, and it was pure magic.”

Your first show was in a bar in Kortrijk, a small city in Belgium. What are your most vivid memories of that early show?

“There were only five people in the crowd, but I still enjoyed it. Those early days taught me to play with the same passion no matter the size of the crowd.”

What is the connection between Mandy as a raver and Mandy as an artist behind the decks?

“The connection between both is the passion for dance music. Music is my default setting and it always has been. Before I became an artist, I was just a passionate raver and that energy has never left me, as you may realise when you watch me perform on stage! For me, what I like personally really fuels everything I do as an artist. At the end of the day, I’m still that same raver, just on the other side of the barrier!”

Can you still imagine yourself dancing in the crowd, and do you still do it sometimes?
“I remember those days very well! I still like going to events myself when I’m not touring. Sometimes just to enjoy dancing with my friends and to have a blast, sometimes because I want to get inspired by other artists. Music is life.”

You’ve released lots of music on Dirty Workz, Coone’s label. What has been your experience working so closely with the label and what has it meant for your career?

“My career started at Dirty Workz and I’m so grateful for that. They believed in me from the beginning, when I was only fifteen, and Coone was a huge support as well when I started performing. Being part of the label has given me the chance to grow as an artist and release my music to a worldwide audience. It truly feels like a family, and it has played a massive role in the shaping of my career.”

"

Meeting Da Tweekaz twelve years ago was such a special moment for me. I looked up to them so much, and I never could’ve imagined that years later, we’d be sharing the stage. They are now like brothers to me.

MANDY

You once met Da Tweekaz as a teenager, before you started your own career. What memories do you have of that encounter?

“Meeting Da Tweekaz twelve years ago was such a special moment for me. I looked up to them so much, and I never could’ve imagined that years later, we’d be sharing the stage. They are now like brothers to me. That first encounter was just the beginning of an incredible journey and I’m proud of us all for achieving so many great things, which are all born out of passion.”

What exciting MANDY projects have you got lined up for us in 2025?

“I have just released a track called ‘The Flow’, which represents the hybrid sounds I want to keep exploring this year. I’m working on some cool collabs as well, which I will tease during my Mainstage set here at Tomorrowland Winter.”

Tomorrowland Winter isn’t your usual festival. It’s set in the snowy mountains! What’s your favourite thing about the festival, what makes it stand out?

“Like at every Tomorrowland event, the scenery here is spectacular and absolutely unique. For me it’s still crazy to see all these beautiful stages in this special place high up in the mountains. To everyone reading this I’d like to say: definitely make sure to visit the Reflection of Love stage, because the views on the mountains from there are on another level!”
